Jamboree on the Trail is an annual event for Scouts from all over the UK to hike together in spirit if not in fact. All Scouts, whatever their age and section are invited to participate. Last year over 5000 in the UK including the 28th took part. This years event takes part on Saturday 11th May and again the 28th will take part.
The slightly different routes to be taken have not yet been decided but will be appropriate to the Age range of each Section.
Leaders will be with every Section. We will need Parent support for Beavers/Cubs and Scouts and any who wish to join in are welcome. Well behaved Dogs on leads are also most welcome. As are younger siblings and Grandparents!
Arrangements as follows:
- Beavers Meet at the Scout Hall at 10am*.
- Cubs meet at Dundonald Castle visitor Centre at 10am**.
- Not in Uniform but wear Neckies
- Be Prepared for Rain
Cost will be £5.00 per participant – this will cover the cost of an attractive badge for casual wear such as on a Camp Fire Blanket or Camp Sweater but not on Uniform (the Badge is quite large and most of our members of all Sections are already well covered in Badges earned). Roll Burgers, Soup and/or Juice at the end of the Trail will be provided.
Finishing time probably about 1.00pm
*Beavers will be starting and finishing at the Scout Hall.
**Cubs will be following a route from Dundonald Castle back to the Scout Hall so please make arrangements to pick up vehicles at the end.
Please return the registration form with £5.00 per Scout to Section Leader by Thursday 9th May.
