Jamboree on the Trail (JOTT) is an annual event for Scouts (Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers) from all over the UK to hike together in spirit if not in fact. All Scouts, whatever their age and section are invited to participate. Last year over 5000 in the UK including the 28th took part.
When? Saturday 9th May
Where? The slightly different routes to be taken have not yet been decided but will be appropriate to the Age range of each Section. Leaders will be with every Section.
Get involved! We will need Parent support for Beavers/Cubs and Scouts and any who wish to join in are welcome. Well behaved Dogs on leads are also most welcome. As are younger siblings and Grandparents!
Arrangements? Beavers and Cubs will meet at the Scout Hall for 10am and leave from there. A separate email will be sent with arrangements for Scouts and Explorers. Not in Uniform but please wear Neckies.
Be Prepared for Rain or whatever the weather throws at us!
Cost? £5.00 per (Member) participant. This will cover the cost of an attractive badge for casual wear such as on a Camp Fire Blanket or Camp Sweater but not on Uniform (the Badge is quite large and most of our members of all Sections are already well covered in Badges earned). Roll Burgers, Soup and/or Juice at the end of the Trail will be provided.
Finishing time probably about 1.00pm
Please return the JOTT 2015 registration form with the appropriate money to Section Leader during the coming weeks.
Cubs participating in the Skills Camp following JOTT can bring their kit down at the start and store it in the extension (remember to bring full uniform). They are welcome to stay at the hall with the leaders until the Skills Camp starts at 2pm.
