Ice Hockey Visit

Following the success of last years visit, by popular demand we are now planning a trip to the Elite League ice hockey at Braehead Arena, Glasgow on Friday October 26th to watch Braehead Clan v Nottingham Panthers. As well as being a thoroughly enjoyable evening, this will also form part of the Scouts Sports Enthusiast award.

We have again received special ticket pricing for the event so the cost for this trip is £10 per Scout (or any other under 16s) and £15 for adults (this is inclusive of both tickets and transport). If any parents are keen to go and some can kindly help provide transport, please let us know asap as we are expecting a very high uptake on places for this one. . As with last year, we will make a contribution towards fuel costs for any parents with cars helping to transport Scouts.

As the game face off is 7.30pm – we will consequently need everyone at the hall by 5.45pm to allow us to sort out transport, travel to Braehead, get into the arena, organise seating and lastly, get my hot dog….. . We would aim to be back at the hall for approx 10.30pm (this could be slightly later if the game went to a penalty shoot-out)

Not looking for any monies at present – but if you could respond with confirmation of all Scouts, adults and any others who would like to attend it would be greatly appreciated as we have to pre-book tickets and need to give the Clan organisation advance notice of the expected invasion by 28th Scouts (last year we took 47 people and expect to take more this time:)

Sorry, but once we have given numbers to the Clan management they will allocate us a block of seats and it will be very difficult to add last minute additions as each ticket corresponds to a specif seat number.

This will be a non uniform event with no normal meeting that night due to all the Leaders being away with the Scouts.

If there are any queries, drop me an email or pop in and see us on Friday.
