All Cubs from both Tuesday and Thursday Packs who were too young or unable to attend the weekend camp at Lochearnhead Scout Station are invited to attend a sleepover at the SEA LIFE Aquarium on the shores of Loch Lomond.

This is a single night sleepover from Saturday 2nd November to Sunday 3rd November. We will be meeting at the Scout Hall on the Saturday at 2.30pm leaving at 3pm latest and leaving Loch Lomond on the Sunday at 1.30pm, arriving back in Troon at 3pm approximately. Please remember all Cubs must travel to and from the Camp in full uniform.

Who can go?

Cubs who were too young or unable to attend the weekend camp at Lochearnhead Scout Station are eligible to go.  Please note Cubs cannot attend both events.

What will I get to do?

Our programme for this sleepover will be based in and around the SEA LIFE Aquarium in Balloch.  When we first arrive at the Loch Lomond Shores the Cubs will be given the chance to play in the park and eat their snack.  We will then follow the centre timetable as detailed below.

    • Arrive to your ‘underwater’ sleepover destination around 6.30pm
    • Then get ready for your VIP tour of the Loch Lomond SEA LIFE Aquarium lasting approximately half an hour before ‘setting up camp’ for the night in our ocean tunnel
    • Next, it’s time for hot snacks
    • Then we will watch a movie in the 350 seater IMAX cinema
    • Finally, settle down for a ‘night beneath the waves’ in your very own Ocean Tunnel
    • Our creatures are early risers! Rise with them at 7am
    • Catch breakfast in our Loch View Cafe at 7.30am

Upon leaving in the morning we will link up with RSPB to explore the nature in the Balloch Shores area.  Around 12pm Cubs will be provided with lunch and a last chance to play in the park before boarding the bus home. Weather permitting we hope to be outside for at least part of the weekend so warm clothes and waterproofs/outdoor jackets are required. Please take note of the specific kit requirements for this camp.
