28th Ayrshire boost RNLI funds

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in Troon has £1000 to put to good use thanks to the fundraising of everyone in the 28th Ayrshire Scout Group.

Each year the 28th collect some money to gift to a charity of our choice and this year the Group Leader Team chose a charity close to home by supporting the Troon Branch of the RNLI. By filling emptied Smartie tubes with coins the members of the Group were able to raise £1000 to help with the fantastic work done by the volunteer crew of the “Jim Moffat”.

Recently the Group were able to welcome crew members from the “Jim Moffat” to the Scout Hall where they were presented with a cheque for £1000.
